Antonia R. Pitts is a recipient of the 2016 Innovation/Impact Award. She began her employment with The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in March
2008 as a Government Property Close Out Assistant.
Currently, Pitts is a Contract Administrator II/Research Education Coordinator in the UAH Office of Sponsored Programs. Her duties include
Training (Internal and External) RCR, Internal OVPRED Solicitations and Limited Submission Opportunities.
Pitts is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators. Her volunteer efforts include serving as Resource Manager for Operation
Making a Difference, Inc. The Huntsville-based non profit organization assists at-risk youths and their families.
The UAH Staff Awards are presented annually by The University of Alabama in Huntsville Foundation.
