poweroutage

From Tony Davis, Director of Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing Maintenance on the UAH Campus, "Starting at 10pm on [May 19th]* Huntsville Utilities will be taking power down to BAB [Business Administration Building], Wilson Hall, and the Library for approximately 4-8 hours. They will be changing over new switch gear and new primary wire..."

Since the library (or campus) would not be open at this time, anyhow, this should have zero impact on our hours of operation (note, this is assuming all goes to plan, keep an eye on library social media to get updates). However, there are some that use our electronic resources to log in and do research late at night. This power outage will temporarily disable our proxy-authentification system (and catalog), so library resources will be down until the next morning. If you experience any problems that night, this is the most likely culprit. Again, this should only be the night of May 19, after 10pm, through the early morning hours of May 20th.

If you continue to have problems after the next morning, feel free to contact us at (256)824-6529 or at refdesk@uah.edu

* Note, this was originally scheduled for May 20th. It has been moved to Thursday, May 19th.
