Requirements for Fellowship Participation

  1. They must be first time/fulltime on campus students to begin participation
    1. For a Master’s degree they receive the fellowship for 2 years (4 semesters)
    2. For a PhD degree they receive the fellowship for 4 years (8 semesters)
    3. If a student receives GTA, GRA, or GA funding then the fellowship will no longer be valid
  2. To be eligible for the fellowship the student must take an entrance exam (GRE/GMAT/MAT).
  3. The undergraduate GPA is determined by the transcript(s) sent to UAH. All transcripts are used to calculate the undergraduate GPA. A single value will be computed and used for fellowship placement purposes.

  6. Students must be fulltime and enrolled each fall and spring semester.
  7. In order to continue their fellowship students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.

Minorities and Women in STEM-Related Fields

The U.S. Department of Education has forecasted that STEM-related occupations will grow by as much as 60% by 2020. While the field has long been underrepresented by women and minorities, we strongly believe now is an excellent time to help you change that outlook. If you are interested in a STEM field, please reach out to us and we will be happy to get you in touch with a faculty member who can help you start a path to completing your graduate degree.
