Are you a UAH Retiree? Are you hoping to stay involved with UAH? Are you looking to make your voice heard? Well you're in the right place.

UAHRA was established in 2005 with the following goals and objectives:

  • Support the scholarly and professional objectives of UAH
  • Provide opportunities for UAH retirees to continue their professional relationships with their UAH colleagues through sponsorship and promotion of education programs and social events
  • Communicate with UAH, Alabama State government and groups on issues concerning the needs of and opportunities for retirees

UAHRA has over 150 members and meets quarterly at UAH.

Social/Recent Retirees Reception: 10:00 am - 11:30 am (cookies and coffee)
Wellness check and flu shots: 10:30-11:30 am
Program: 11:30 - Noon (no pot luck lunch)
Location: Student Services Building, UAH

Over eighty recent UAH retirees have been invited to this meeting at Student Services Building at UAH. So arrive early, have cookies and coffee and visit with some new faces. From 10:30 - 11:30 am nurses from the Alabama Department of Public Health will be providing wellness checks and flu shots. This is free to retirees; however, be sure to bring your insurance cards.

At 11:30 am UAH President Bob Altenkirch will be giving his annual "State of the University" address to us.

Membership renewals are due October 1. So bring your check book.

NOTE: THERE WILL NOT BE A POT LUCK LUNCH AT THIS MEETING.
