Windows 10 Update

Windows 10 is the newest version of Windows. It was designed to make the transition across devices easier for the user, as well as to meld the best features of Windows 7 and Windows 8. Windows 10 introduces a new default web browser, Microsoft Edge. The Office of Information Technology encourages users to ensure compatibility with key software and hardware before updating to Windows 10. Make sure you view the information regarding available printers and software.

Users who have encrypted their computers with McAfee Drive Encryption will need to take precautionary measures before upgrading to Windows 10. If the upgrade is not done properly, all of the data on the computer will be lost. Please contact the OIT Help Desk if you are using an encrypted computer and wish to upgrade your computer’s Operating System (OS) to Windows 10.
