UAH welcomes John Zogby, international pollster and best-selling author to campus

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) will host a visit by John Zogby, international pollster, trend analyst and best-selling author to campus on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The event is sponsored by the UAH Office of International Engagement, International Services Council of Alabama, and is part of International Education Week activities.

Zogby's public address will begin at 5:30 p.m., in the Chan Auditorium located in the Business Administration Building (room 125). He will discuss his latest book, First Globals: Understanding, Managing, and Unleashing Our Millennial Generation. After Zogby's talk, books will be available for purchase and signing. John Zogby is founder of the Zogby Poll and the Zogby companies. Zogby Analytics provides custom research and insight to leaders of businesses and communities, as well as to individuals. As senior analyst, John Zogby uses advanced methods to generate research drawn from hundreds of thousands of respondents each year. He works straight from raw data without any partisan filters, to present the truth on emerging issues. Zogby called the 1996 presidential election with pinpoint accuracy. And he called the following two elections. His presidential polling remains among the most accurate through five elections.

He has served as an on-air election analyst for NBC News, BBC, ABC, and has been featured by the Foreign Press Center in Washington every election since 1998. He has delivered more than 2,000 speeches, public lectures and management briefings, simultaneously educating and entertaining his audiences. Zogby is the author of The New York Times bestseller, The Way We'll Be: The Zogby Report on the Transformation of the American Dream. He writes weekly columns on Forbes.com, and for The Washington Examiner. A founding contributor to The Huffington Post, his analytical expertise has also been published on the opinion pages of The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times.

Zogby is a senior advisor at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and also serves as a commissioner for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and is a senior fellow of the Catholic University Institute for Policy Research and Catholic Studies. Additionally, he has served as a consultant for Coca-Cola, Microsoft, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, CISCO Systems, and the U.S. Census Bureau. Zogby received a bachelor's degree in history from Le Moyne College, and earned a master's degree in history from Syracuse University.
