The 2021 Lancers Enthusiasm, eagerness to help and a sharp blue jacket are the hallmarks of a Lancer at UAH. These exceptional juniors and seniors represent UAH at university dinners, award ceremonies, and other special events. With a front row seat to the university’s inner workings, the Lancers build relationships with leaders — acting as leaders themselves. The mission of a Lancer is to assist in promoting a positive image of UAH to current and future students, alumni and friends, and to instill in the Lancers the value of a lifelong relationship with the university. The students are chosen for this program on the basis of their academic standing (2.5 minimum GPA is required), ability to communicate, their willingness to learn about the university and their enthusiasm for UAH. Positions are available to rising juniors and seniors. Lancer responsibilities include: Hosting at university signature events, scholarship and awards dinners and donor-recognition events. Assisting the President’s Office and others as appropriate at official dinners and receptions. Hosting other activities which might be scheduled during the year.
