Written by: Drew Hartt Yarbrough August 30, 2023 Dr. Nicholas Clarke recently joined The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) College of Business (COB) as an Assistant Professor of Accounting. Dr. Clarke has research and teaching interests in corporate finance, payout policy, equity issuance, corporate governance and behavioral finance. Much of his research focuses on the underlying motivations for corporate decisions, particularly share repurchases. Dr. Clarke says he is excited to join the UAH COB because of the opportunity to work with faculty at the top of their fields, teach some of the brightest students in the world and interact with a thriving local business community. During the Fall 2023 semester, Dr. Clarke will be teaching Principles of Finance and Commercial Bank Management. Dr. Clarke earned his doctoral degree in finance from Florida State University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance at The University of West Florida.
