UAH alumna, SPLC attorney Latasha L. McCrary will talk with students about law school on Jan. 28

Students are invited to the event, “Thinking about Law School? A Conversation with UAH Alumna Latasha McCrary, Staff Attorney, Southern Poverty Law Center,” on Thursday, January 28, in Morton Hall 200, at 12:45-1:30 PM. If you are a student interested in going to law school, this is an opportunity to get some first-hand advice. Light refreshments will be provided.

Latasha McCrary graduated from UAH (Political Science and Sociology) in 2005 and received a law degree from the University of Alabama. She is currently a staff attorney at the internationally recognized Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery.

Latasha McCrary will also be a guest speaker on a Public Forum, The Color of Law: Mass Incarceration and Prison Privatization, to be held the same day, January 28, at 6 p.m. in Charger Union Theater, sponsored by the UAH Office of Diversity.

Latasha L. McCrary ('05 BA Sociology, Political Science) was the keynote speaker at the annual UAH Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Commemoration Program on Thursday, January 14.



UAH sociology graduate recipient of prestigious George Washington University law scholarship

Sacred B. Huff, 2015 graduate of UAH with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, was awarded a merit scholarship to attend law school at George Washington University (Washington, DC).
