Faculty and Staff,
Thank you all for rising to the challenge of teaching all of your courses remotely on such short notice. I know that the change in teaching mode and the need for a rapid response caused many of you stress and long hours of work. As always, you put our students' well-being first, which is the hallmark of the UAH faculty and staff. I truly appreciate your dedication to our students and to their learning.
Many of our students need to move off of campus in the next few days. Some of them have to travel quite a distance to get home. Please remember that classes are canceled for Thursday, March 19th, Friday, March 20th, and Monday, March 23rd to give them time to move. Classes will resume on Tuesday, March 24th.
We will enjoy Spring Break from March 30th to April 3rd. We will resume classes after Spring Break on Monday, April 6th.
Because of the time and effort you are expending on teaching remotely, a number of you have requested that the due date for the Faculty Activity Report (FAR) be delayed. The FAR is now due on Friday, May 1, 2020, as shown in the table below. This schedule change is only for 2020.

The current situation because of COVID-19 has made our strategic planning process very difficult. The strategic planning process is suspended for this spring. We will reevaluate the situation when we return to normal operations and notify you of the next steps in the strategic planning process.
