HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (August 19, 2013) - Hundreds of new University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) students visited the Student Research Open House on Monday, Aug. 19, in the Von Braun Research Hall. Sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) as part of the campus-wide UAH Week of Welcome Aug. 16-24, the event attracted students from all majors. On hand were 25 campus clubs and groups, as well as every college, most of UAH's research centers and many research-oriented student clubs. Visitors got to see the UAH Moonbuggy, the ChargerSat 1 prototype, a helicopter simulator, a dart concept rocket, a Nao robot demonstration and unmanned aerial vehicles.
