The sculpture program at UAH offers the best of traditional and contemporary approaches to the medium. The sculpture studio is well equipped with facilities for woodworking, carving, casting and more. Some courses cover traditional object making: bronze casting, wood and stone carving and fabrications. Others explore the possibilities of installation, environmental, performative and conceptual practice.
Sculpture students are active in the community; doing special projects for events like EXPO and Panoply and creating lasting work for places like the children's museum and Burritt on the Mountain.
