Founded in 1909, the North-American Interfraternity Conference is the trade association representing 75 International and National Men's Fraternities. The NIC serves to advocate the needs of its member fraternities through enrichment of the fraternity experience; advancement and growth of the fraternity community; and enhancement of the educational mission of the host institutions. The IFC on the campus of UAH consists of Alpha Tau Omega, Delta Chi, Pi Kappa Alpha, Phi Kappa Psi and Sigma Nu.

Interfraternity Council Leadership

The Interfraternity Council, also known as IFC, is the governing body for a collection of member fraternities on campus. The IFC is responsible for creating policies, promoting academic excellence, and planning recruitment and other activities for the fraternities. IFC has an executive board comprised of members from various fraternities. IFC unites all fraternities regardless of individual affiliation. Each chapter has two voting delegates that represent the interests of their chapter on the council.
