The Department of Music at UAHuntsville prepares musicians for careers as performers, educators, composers, church musicians, and music industry professionals. Additionally - and perhaps most importantly - we enable all students, regardless of major, to pursue the art and beauty of music while honing the interpersonal and communication skills vital to every career in the 21st century. Noted for quality instruction by nationally and internationally renowned faculty, and an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music, the Department offers eight music emphases, numerous ensembles, and over 150 performances each year.
