Dr. Elisabeth Bratcher Lecturer, Biological Sciences Department Biography Elisabeth Bratcher has a degree in Exercise Science and Sports management. She is the owner of fit.active LLC, a fitness and health coaching business in Huntsville, AL. Born and raised in Austria, Elisabeth received a Ph.D. in Exercise Science and a board-certified Sports Coaching Certification from the University of Vienna, Austria. She is a certified ASCA Swim Coach, USA Triathlon coach, and an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist. Elisabeth has conducted research within the Austrian military, with various competitive athletes, and had research positions at the University of Vienna/ Austria and the University of Vanderbilt/ Nashville. Currently she teaches for the Biology department at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, coaches intermediate to advanced triathletes and writes health and fitness blogs.
