Judge and Volunteer Registration Everyone involved with ASEF will need a background check beginning Fall 2018, per University of Alabama System policy. We will post further details in early 2019. How Judging Works Category Awards For each of the 8 Junior Categories and the 17 Senior Categories, we have a Judging Coordinator. The Judging Coordinator is responsible for assembling a team of 4-5 judges for that category and then ranking the projects. If you are interested in being a Judging Coordinator and assembling a team of judges, contact Dr. James Miller. Special Awards ASEF presents many special awards from our sponsors and from national professional organizations such as the American Physical Society.
