CDC Advice on Vulnerable Individuals

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have identified broad categories of individuals who are at higher risk for severe COVID illness, including:

  • People 65 and over
  • Residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities
  • Those with poorly controlled, underlying conditions that affect the immune system, such as lung and heart conditions, obesity, diabetes, and kidney and liver diseases.
