Renowned rocket scientist, Dr. Wernher von Braun, was one of the pioneers for The University of Alabama in Huntsville. He saw fit to make what was called the University of Alabama Huntsville Center into a research institute. An institution of this caliber would not only grow the Huntsville business economy, but offer education to local employees at NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center, and Redstone Arsenal. Soon after its founding, the campus grew tremendously and has sustained that growth today.

UAH and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center (USSRC) have a unique relationship because of Dr. Wernher von Braun. As a leader in aerospace and systems engineering; biotechnology; cybersecurity and big data; earth, atmospheric, and space science, UAH partners with the USSRC to ensure trainees can continue their education outside their Space Camp® or Aviation Challenge® experience.

Earn Undergraduate Credit

Upon successful completion of Advanced Space Academy® or Aviation Challenge® Mach III Camp, UAH will award students 1-hour of credit for the course completed:

ESS 100: Introduction to Space Science, Advanced Space Academy®

ENG 105: Introduction to Aeronautics, Aviation Challenge ® Mach III

Students with U.S. citizenship* will receive a letter from UAH with two attachments. Please allow three to six months after camp graduation for processing.

Request additional transcripts

Please follow the instructions below when requesting additional transcripts.

There are two ways to request an official UAH transcript.

Fill out the transcript request form. The completed form and payment information can be sent via fax to 256.824.7780, scanned and emailed to registrar@uah.edu, mailed to the Registrar's Office, or dropped off in-person.
You can also request electronic or paper official transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse

Please note: effective August 1, 2016, a 3% convenience fee will be added to all credit/debit card payments. However, if you use the National Student Clearinghouse to request transcripts, you will not be charged the convenience fee.

Transcripts are $10.00 per paper or electronic copy.
Payment should be included with request. Credit/debit information should be included on all faxed requests.

Please include the name of the course (ESS 100: Intro. to Space Science or ENG 105: Intro. to Aeronautics) and the date attended, including the year.
