Tuition and Fees Note: All campus based nursing programs have an associated $42 fee per credit hour. The Leadership in Healthcare Systems program (Online) is $366.00 per hour with no additional fees, regardless of residency. Student Financial Services Student Financial Services, located in the Conference Training Center, provides financial aid information and assists students in meeting individual needs. Financial aid for graduate students in the College of Nursing comes primarily from the following sources: Alabama Board of Nursing Scholarships. Fifteen scholarships are granted each year to graduate students attending schools in Alabama. Funding is $3,800 for full-time study for one year. Students must make application directly to the Alabama Board of Nursing. Contact the Alabama Board of Nursing for further information. Alabama Board of Nursing Loan Repayment Program for Advanced Practice Nursing. The Loan Repayment Program offers loans to graduate students pursuing degrees to become CRNPs, CNMs, and CRNAs who commit to working full-time in an Area of Critical Need in Alabama for a period of at least 18 months for each year’s worth of loans received. An Area of Critical Need is presently defined by the Board, according to the law, as any area of the state that is not within five (5) miles of an area identified by the US Census Bureau as “urbanized.” The ABN has begun accepting applications for the Loan Repayment Program for Advanced Practice Nursing; applications will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on November 30, 2017. Loans will be approved by the Board in January 2018, with payments disbursed in February. The College of Nursing applies annually for a limited number of traineeships for graduate students. These funds are granted to admitted students enrolled for full-time study and admitted students enrolled for part-time study who will graduate within 12 months.
