Open Enrollment - October 15 - November 2 Annual Open Enrollment for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts, begins on Wednesday, October 16 and ends on November 4, 2019, for all benefit-eligible employees of UAH. Changes outside of Open Enrollment can only be made if there is a qualifying life event. Open Enrollment Key Factors Active Open Enrollment Open Enrollment this year is an “active enrollment.” Each employee must log into HR Connection and either enroll in or decline health, dental, or vision insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees must respond before Open Enrollment ends on November 4, 2019. Failure to respond will result in no coverage for 2020. New Benefit Offerings Employees new health benefits offerings available, including: A new autism therapy benefit for Applied Behavior Analysis. Naturally Slim, a weight management program. Livongo, a diabetes disease management program. Plan Changes Dental plan will be consolidated into one plan. Health flexible spending account will have a use-it-or-lose it rule (no carry-over provision). Short-Term Disability insurance vendor will now be The Standard. Premium Tier Structure Change Medical PPO plan insurance premium will increase. The medical PPO tier structure will reduce from four salary tiers to three. Dental and Vision plans will include a new premium tier for employee + 1 dependent.
