"Embodied: Contemporary Takes on the Dress" is a collaborative exhibition of nine artists that came together at the onset of the worldwide pandemic and lockdown. Reaching out and connecting with each other in the early days of a new reality, gave clarity to their collective inclination to create dresses for the purpose of telling personal stories. Each dress is a visual narrative stemming from observation and experience, creating an immersive study into individuality, semiotics, joy, sorrow, and humanity.

 

On view in the Union Grove Gallery from October 4th through November 3rd.
