Drawn from mid-twentieth century media and the art historical narrative, Maleah Taylor’s exhibition “A Well Worn Path” imbues blackness within vintage aesthetics to weave an intimate, ruminative narrative on identity. Ingrained symbols of blackness fixate selfhood, while outside perceptions invoke dissonance.
Her photographs will be on view now through June 9th.
Please join us for an opening reception on Thursday, May 19th, from 5pm - 6pm in the Wilson Hall Gallery.
