History Open House: Avalon and Archaeology at UAH

12:30-2:00 p.m. on Aug. 27th in  MOR 004 (Classroom Ground Floor of the Original Entrance).

Archaeologist Ben Hoksbergen will teach us about the archaeology right under our feet on the UAH campus. Until the end of the Civil War, this land was a plantation called Avalon.  Hear about the history and legacy of Avalon, the graveyards on campus related to the plantation,  and see artifacts from student archaeological digs related to Avalon. History faculty will be on hand, so come with questions about the program or just to chat with us about history!

Snacks will be provided.
Come for the History, and get a t-shirt, win a drawing for a bookstore gift card or other UAH swag!
