Unreal City

Thursday, September 26, 2024- October 30, 2024 Multiday event - 35 days

Salmon Library Gallery

Unreal City explores the imbalance of nature and human-built environments. Bronstein uses vintage images and colorful embroidery to represent the relationship between our cityscapes and the battle for nature's survival.  Taking cues from the photos, she captures shadows, building up those areas using embroidered elements of plants, rocks, and clouds, giving it more dominance while bringing texture and dimension to the flat spaces.

Please join us for the closing reception and artist talk on Wednesday, October 30th, from 4:30pm - 6pm in the Salmon Library Gallery. Talk starts @ 4:40pm.

Exhibition on view through October 30th.
