Please join us in welcoming Dr. NiCole Keith to the first annual College of Education Signature Speaker Series at the University of Alabama in Huntsville on September 5, 2024 in the UAH Roberts Hall Auditorium from 5pm - 6:30pm.  The forum is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members.

Dr. Keith is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology and the executive associate dean in the School of Public Health-Bloomington at Indiana University. In addition, Dr. Keith has served as president of the American College of Sports Medicine (2020–21) and holds a research appointment with the Regenstrief Institute. 

Dr. Keith is dedicated to research and programming that increases physical activity participation, improves fitness, and positively influences health outcomes while addressing health equity.

Her lecture will focus on taking steps towards decreasing health disparities in communities while focusing on physical activity and health-related fitness along with providing methods of how to employ multidisciplinary strategies to address policy implementation and environmental outcomes to improve overall community health.
