UAH is excited to bring back Girls in Science and Engineering Days (GSED) to the Rocket City! GSED is a day of hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities designed for girls in the 3rd and 4th grade in the morning and 5th and 6th grade in the afternoon.

April 1: Session 1 - 8:30am to 12:15pm for 3rd-4th graders
April 1: Session 2 - 1:15pm to 5:15pm for 5th-6th graders

Where is GSED held?
Girls in Science and Engineering Days will be held on the UAH campus at the Shelby Center for Science and Technology (www.uah.edu/map - Building #20)
What is the cost?
The cost is $15 per participant and covers all activities and materials. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, a STEM goody bag, snacks and a water bottle. Parents will receive a STEM booklet with resources that will help to foster their child's interest in STEM.
Girls in Science and Engineering Day (GSED) is all about STEM discovery and hands-on activities for girls in the 3rd-6th grade and held on the UAH campus. Participants attend a variety of workshops designed to spark their curiosity and excitement about science, engineering and technology.
Participants will be divided into groups and rotate through a series of STEM workshops. Each group will be escorted/supervised at all times. Participants will receive a GSED T-shirt, goody bag, water bottle, and snacks.
