Are you a STEM major, especially freshman or sophomore, who is interested in studying abroad as an undergraduate?  We have a unique opportunity for you to hear directly from a fellow student who has done just that.  This Friday, March 31 at 3:00pm at Morton Hall 101, Aerospace Engineering junior Andy Hoang will discuss the benefits for studying abroad as a STEM major and why more STEM majors should consider doing so.  During this info session, Andy will talk about his experience taking Engineering courses during the fall semester at Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea.  He will also talk about how he applied for his program through the Office of Study Abroad and then applied for, and received, the Gilman Scholarship to help fund this study abroad experience as a Pell Grant recipient.

Pell Grant recipients of all majors are highly encouraged to attend to learn about the Gilman Scholarship.  Fellowship Advisor Jennifer Staton will also be available to talk about some additional study abroad scholarships.

Email Jennifer at statonj@uah.edu if you cannot attend but are interested in learning more about this info session.  But if you can, definitely attend in-person to hear about Andy's experience and ask him questions!
