Join us for a guided tour of Dr. Burritt’s mansion and the Historic Park. Dr. William Burritt left his 1930s mansion and 167 acres to the city of Huntsville. The uniquely designed house contains an eclectic collection of Dr. Burritt’s possessions. Explore the homestead area with wooden farm cabins, farm support buildings with animals, and working craftspeople conducting period demonstrations. Of particular interest is the recreated Rosenwald School, which was part of an effort to provide adequate school buildings for African-American children in the South. Waiver/release form is required.

*OLLI members who are also Burritt members will not have to pay the tour fee.
