Creature Comforts

Tuesday, November 15, 2022- December 8, 2022 Multiday event - 24 days

Union Grove Gallery

"Creature Comforts" is the culmination of Eriel Gibson's time here at UAH. As a BFA major with a concentration in Sculpture, her exhibition is a showcase of her exploration into childhood. Gibson believes the most important thing a creator should do is to delight and connect with the viewer. In her exhibition, she explores play. Her work is inspired by toys, objects that are initially precious but that are ultimately left behind. Whether they end up in attics, thrift stores or the hands of other children, they evoke a sense of loss that is always a little present in growing up.

On view in the Union Grove Gallery through December 8th.
Please join us for a reception Wednesday, November 16th, 4:30pm-6pm.
Gallery Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 3pm-4:30pm; Fridays, 11am-1pm
Free and open to the public.
