Join us on April 10th @ 1pm for the launch the of new Salmon Library Minecraft Server for UAH students, faculty, and staff.

This will be an open world server for you to build, explore, and have fun. Join other UAH students, faculty, and staff and let's see what sort of community/world we can create together. Contribute ideas [and builds] to the mini-game arena, set up shop in the spawn district, and chat/play with librarians.

After the launch event*, the server will be left up to be a growing, organic community.

If you would like to join us for the event/server, you must be allow-listed. To do so, you can either fill out the Server Application form (https://forms.gle/um63qgqdJdGnTsPG8) or email doug.bolden@uah.edu. Also email Doug if you have any questions. The application form lists the rules and general notes about joining the server, as well.  There will be a Discord server as well to organize sessions, events, and to provide voice chat.

* At launch, the server will be mostly Vanilla 1.16.x (currently 1.16.5) Java/PC Minecraft (some slight tweaks might be implemented to simply improve the user experience, but nothing major). Sometime in the future, probably next Fall, there will be a server relaunch to allow for the new 1.17 world-gen and mechanics. Due to stability and other issues, though, we will wait until 1.17 hits full release before doing such.
