For the first time in history, OLLIs in the State of Alabama moving to virtual learning captured the attention of Alabama’s Governor, Kay Ivey, leading her to proclaim August 20th, “OLLI Day”. This honor will highlight what OLLI has to offer to the State of Alabama. A virtual event will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm CST. The event will include previews of each OLLI program (UAH, UA, and Auburn), entertainment, and opportunities for socialization.

The free OLLI Day Alabama virtual event, which will take place via Zoom, will feature Governor Ivey’s proclamation; introductions from OLLI leaders, including the Deans from each sponsoring College; and a special appearance from Bernard Osher, Founder of the Bernard Osher Foundation, and Mary Bitterman, President of the Bernard Osher Foundation. Anyone interested in participating in the OLLI Day Alabama event can sign-up at Osher.uah.edu/OLLIDayAlabama. You will receive an email with the webinar invitation immediately.

Presented by OLLI at UAH, UA, and Aubrun University.
