Querin will be the Guest Speaker for the November meeting of the North Alabama Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Dr. Querin is a Weld Engineer with Boeing Defense, Space & Security committed to the Space Launch System (SLS) program where he is the acting Friction Stir Weld (FSW) development lead for SLS Core Stage (CS) Production. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Mississippi State University in 2010 where his research focused on characterizing the interplay of FSW tool geometry and process parameters with the resulting weld microstructures and mechanical properties.
