ABOUT

The College of Business at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is honoring Dr. Jeet Gupta for his academic contributions and his professional career spanning over half a century. We are organizing a symposium to celebrate his accomplishments, and we invite submission of papers and proposals for presentations and panels. The symposium will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 on the UAH campus. The symposium coincides with Dr. Gupta’s retirement at the end of Fall 2022, and his 80th birthday this year.

Dr. Jeet Gupta holds the position of Eminent Scholar, Professor and Director of Integrated Enterprise Lab at the College. He is an international authority in research and teaching in the field of production scheduling and in addition to being a prominent scholar in a diverse set of disciplines that include Supply Chain Management and Information Technology.  He has over 300 publications, many in collaboration with scholars from across the globe.  Renowned for his work on Scheduling, Dr. Gupta has published in the Operations, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems and Strategy, Enterprise Systems and Cybersecurity disciplines among others. He has served as the president of the Decision Sciences Institute and the Production and Operation Management Society, been recognized as a Fellow in both societies, and recently received the Dennis E. Grawoig Distinguished Service Award from the Decision Sciences Institute. He continues to be highly productive with dedication, energy, and enthusiasm for making a contribution with his research.

Make a Hotel Reservation

The UAH College of Business Room Block rate, after taxes, is $207.85 (15% state and city tax plus $2 occupancy fee). The reservation cut off date is October 13th.

A free shuttle bus will be available to take guests from the hotel to the conference at UAH's campus. Stay tuned for shuttle details.

 

SHUTTLE BUS

On the day of the conference, a shuttle bus will be running all day from the hotel to the conference on the UAH campus. Please check back in for the shuttle bus schedule.
