Journey to the Big Easy and discover the truth about the War of 1812 Battle of New Orleans, which occurred on January 8, 1815. This date was celebrated as much as Independence Day, but has since faded from memory. This last major battle of the war proved this new nation would survive, gave it a much needed confidence boost, solidified the Gulf Coast, and propelled Andrew Jackson to the Presidency.  Attendees will learn the background and details of this conflict and walk away with a new appreciation of this date in US History.
