The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is partnering with Thrive Alabama and the City of Huntsville’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to host a World AIDS Day event on December 1st. The event will coincide with a community art installation that you can be a part of. To participate, all you need to do is submit artwork! There are some size requirements and of course, a theme:

  • Theme: Reflections on what “Preparing for Zero” means.  We want to know, “How do we keep the promise to end HIV?”
  • Medium – Your choice. Paintings, drawings, and photographs are encouraged.
  • Maximum Size – 8 x 10
  • Artists may submit work from their current portfolio or create a new piece for this art exhibit.
  • Multiple entries are allowed.
  • Deadline to Submit Work – Tuesday, November 23, 2021
  • Participants in this exhibit will receive a Thank You gift, name recognition at the event, and a personal invitation to the World AIDS Day Reception

Want to submit a painting, but don't have the supplies? No worries, members of the Thrive Alabama team will be on campus with supplies that you can use to create your masterpiece. Submissions can also be dropped off in the ODEI offices (SSB 218) prior to the November 23rd deadline as well.
