Instructor:

This webinar will be lead by Mary Jane Fleming with the UAH SBDC PTAC office.  Mary Jane has 13 years of experience.  She has personally assisted hundreds of small businesses in determining suitability for contracting, vendor registrations, business development, and federal acquisition regulations. In addition, she has assisted women, veterans and minority-owned companies in determining eligibility and application assistance for the SBA contracting programs such as: 8(a), HUBZone, Woman, and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Programs as well as state ALDOT and ADECA women and minority-owned business programs. Mary Jane graduated magna cum laude from UAH and received a Master Certificate in Federal Contract Management. She is a Certified Procurement Professional (CPP), a VA certified CVE Verification Advisor, and a Level 1 Federal Contractor Certification Trainer with hours of required current professional development training by national associations, federal agencies, and Defense Acquisition University. Mary Jane was awarded the 2012 ASBDC Alabama State Star Award for her contributions to regional small businesses and the 2014 HASBAT Small Business Advocate Award for Excellence presented at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award Celebration on September 4, 2014. Mary Jane previously worked in banking and was successful in sales, marketing, and a management position with a local company, and has been a partner in a family-owned business for over 20 years.
