"Abstract Anxiety" an exhibition by artist Millian Giang Pham explores the experience of straddling multiple cultural codes that often is the norm of immigrants and children of immigrants.  Each of her artwork employs the aesthetic codes of numerous cultures and art languages with each of these systems providing its own perspective. Her compositions challenge understanding and perception through the legibility of the visual with the written language. Her work utilizes a variety of media from drawing and painting, digital imagery, embroidery, and cut paper. Her elegant compositions are at once puzzles tat explore complex issues, and gestures of beauty.
