Public Lecture by Dr. Jeff McMahan: "Killing for Profit"

The UAH Department of Philosophy will host Dr. Jeff McMahan (White's Professor of Moral Philosophy at Oxford University) for a lecture entitled, "Killing for Proft." The lecture involves reflections on the ways in which businesses invest resources into public relations campaigns intended to protect practices that generate profit at the expense of killing people. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 3rd 7:00 pm, in Room 107 of the Shelby Center for Science and Technology (SST) on UAH's campus. The lecture is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.

This event is sponsored by the UAH Department of Philosophy and the Humanities Center in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at UAH.
