To help you have a great experience Parent & Family Programs reminds you to stop by the following Student Services to ensure your student’s Charger checklist is complete or attend a short workshop presentation. Parent Welcome Day features: Move-in Day Helpers, Rocket City Resource Fair, Taste of Huntsville Food Trucks, Educational Sessions, Sibling Make & Takes, and an ACE Family Event.
Schedule of Events:
9:00 AM Move-in Day Begins (Each Residence Hall): There's a welcome station at each hall with Family Weekend information, cooling fans, bottled water, and sibling buttons.
9:00 AM-5:00 PM Student Service Special Hours of Operation (Campus Wide):
- Bookstore, Charger Union - 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
- Bursar, Student Services Building - 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
- Charger Card - 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
- Financial Aid, Student Services Building - 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
- Parking Management, Parking Deck - 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Veteran Services, Charger Union- 10:00 AM-2:00 PM
10:00 AM-3:00 PM Taste of Huntsville Food Trucks (CCRH Lot & Parking Deck): Food Trucks include Regale Cupcakery, Tha Food Truck, Cajun Cravin', Piled High Grill and Devil Dawgs.
2:00-4:00 PM Rocket City Resource Fair (Charger Union 1st Floor): Featured businesses include Redstone Federal Credit Union, Top Golf, University Pickers, Mary Kay, Bridge Street, Bed Bath & Beyond, Lowe Mill, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Rocket City Arcade, and MORE! Free food & prizes!
2:00-3:15 PM Parent & Family Educational Sessions (Charger Union 2nd Floor): 15-20 Minutes Presentations starting at 2:00 PM, 2:25 PM, and 2:50 PM. Topics include: Financial Preparedness, Preparing for Student Academic Success, Preparing your Student for Career Fairs, and a Student Leader QA Panel.
7:00-8:00 PM ACE Family Magician (Spragins Hall): featuring Todd Migliacci. Fun for the entire family!
