Schedule Advising Appointment Interdisciplinary Degree The BPS degree program offers students a well-rounded education through an interdisciplinary curriculum with established concentration areas that provide an alternative pathway for adults to complete a bachelor’s degree. Students will expand their knowledge base across an array of academic disciplines to meet professional and personal goals. Students will learn how to communicate effectively, make informed decisions, and use analytical and critical thinking. Prior Learning Assessment Currently the Bachelor in Professional Studies program accepts the following types of PLA: Transfer Credit: The eligibility of your transfer credits depends on the subject matter of each credit and the accreditation status of the institution that awarded each credit. Credits in academic subjects are usually eligible for transfer if they were awarded by an institution accredited by one of the regional agencies recognized by the American Council on Education. The Bachelor in Professional Studies program can take up to 60 hours of credit from community college/2-year institutions and up to 75% of credits from 4-year institutions. The program can also accept up to 34 hours of technical credit that is applied to the student’s general electives. Military Training: Credits accepted that are certified by the American Council on Education and provided through a Joint Services Transcript. Standardized Exams UAH Testing and Certification Services Standardized Exams Students can either provide UAH Admissions with official scores from their standardized exams or may take the exam through UAH Testing and Certification Services.
