Jan 12, 2021 Faculty, Academic Technologies successfully led a massive effort to purchase and install upgraded classroom equipment, under significant pressure to meet the December 30th CARES funding deadline. We hope you enjoy the updated resources and enhanced technology. As with any new installation, some may encounter glitches as we re-enter classrooms for the spring semester. If you identify any issues, please contact Academic Technologies via email@example.com. We appreciate your patience as we work together to resolve any snags that may arise. ETL is reinstating Immediate Classroom Support this semester, which is very much needed! If you have questions (or issues), Immediate Classroom Support will again be available campus-wide by calling 256-692-0588 or pressing the Help button on the computer main display screen. Please continue to send feedback and less immediate support requests to firstname.lastname@example.org. However, as of yesterday, ETL lost 5 of our 7 full-time and student staff to mandatory quarantine. This leaves only two ETL staff to respond to classroom support requests. We are trying to find volunteers around the university who can help fill in, but we will be short handed until at least next Tuesday (best case scenario). Faculty are encouraged to check their classrooms and technology ahead of time in order to allow more time for response and repair if needed. Colleges that have internal IT support are also encouraged to try to help respond to urgent classroom technology issues.
