The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) will honor and celebrate the achievements of alumni on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the university’s annual Alumni of Achievement Awards ceremony.

The event will begin at 10 a.m., and will be held in the Student Services Building, Room 112, on the UAH campus. The awards presentation is free to attend, and the dress is business-casual attire. For convenience, you may RSVP: surveymonkey.com/r/2019AoARSVPs.

The Alumni of Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed by the UAH Alumni Association. The award recognizes graduates who have distinguished themselves professionally and personally and who exemplify the high standards of UAH. A committee selects the winners from nominations made by alumni, faculty, staff, and friends.

The Outstanding Young Alumni of Achievement Award was created in 2018 and is presented to a UAH alumnus/alumna who is 40 years of age or younger. The recipient must have shown outstanding achievement in his/her profession or field, demonstrated exemplary service to the community, and supported the university in meaningful ways.

"The UAH Alumni Association is honored to recognize some of our most prestigious alumni at this year's Alumni of Achievement Awards Ceremony," said Mallie Hale, Senior Director of Alumni Relations. "Unique to this year's ceremony is the representation of all academic disciplines, truly representing our legacy of Chargers, as well as our second Outstanding Young Alumni of Achievement honoree.

"Through the Alumni of Achievement Awards, we are able to not only recognize our alumni for their professional and personal achievements, but also show the impact of a UAH degree, the value of hard work and perseverance, and inspire current and future alumni to aspire to excellence," added Hale.
