About the speaker:

Dr. Fahimi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (UAH) and a member of the Association for Unmanned Systems International. He finished his post-doctorate research in 2002 at Villanova University. From 2002 to 2009, Dr. Fahimi was a researcher and teacher at Villanova University (Pennsylvania, USA) and University of Alberta (Alberta, Canada). He has been with the UAH since 2010. Dr. Fahimi’s research interests span several areas of dynamics and controls science including application areas such as robotics and unmanned vehicles. Dr. Fahimi has graduated several research students at the Masters level. He is the recipient of the 2012 Distinguished Research Award from the office of the Vice President of Research.
