She offers undergraduate courses on Congress, the Presidency, Political Parties and Interest Groups, Elections and Public Opinion, and Federalism. Her graduate courses include Research Methods, Separation of Powers, and Public Policy Processes. Her primary research interests include the U.S. Congress, committee leadership, and political parties in the electoral arena, as well Intergovernmental relations and Alabama politics. Dr. Reeves earned her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MA and PhD from Rice University.
