Two alumnae of The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Donna L. Rush ('73 BA Sociology), and Dr. Pamela B. Hudson ('86 School Primary Medical Care-Family Practice), have been named as WEDC Foundation "Women Honoring Women" 2014 Honorees.

The WEDC Foundation made the announcement recently, as the organization begins its annual Women Honoring Women (WHW) event "Dare to be Great," will take place from 5:30 p.m., to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 18 at the Von Braun Center North Hall. The celebration is a fundraiser for the WEDC Foundation. The award recognizes outstanding women of the community who have excelled in their fields of expertise, and in their efforts to help others to improve their quality of life.

Rush is being honored in the WHW Arts & Humanities category. She is the immediate past president of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild.

Hudson is being recognized in the WHW Health and Human Services category. Hudson is CEO of Crestwood Medical Center.
