Oct 04, 2018 PY 333: The Psychology of Adjustment and Adaptation PY 333: The Psychology of Adjustment and Adaptation will be offered by Ms. Dana Hampson, LPC-S. This course will explore psychological approaches to understanding, managing, and modifying our physical and emotional well-being. Students will learn ways to apply psychological principles and concepts to enhance coping with various issues of adulthood. For those in the PY Services Track, this course can fulfill 3 of the 9 required hours in the Basis of Behavior core. Offered MW 6-7:20 pm. PY 404/PY 504: Theories of Counseling and Psychotherapy PY 404/PY 504: Theories of Counseling and Psychotherapy will be taught by Dr. Seemann this spring. The purpose of this course is to introduce theories and techniques of psychotherapy and counseling so that students have a foundation of intervention skills that they may further develop under supervision in an internship or practicum appropriate to the student’s level of training and academic degree (i.e., PY 488). For those in the PY Services Track, this course can fulfill 3 of the 6 required hours in the PY Services core. Offered MW 4:20-5:40.
