Mr. David Grotell Visiting Assistant Professor, Communication Arts Department Biography Mr. Grotell has written, directed and produced more than a dozen short films, and written ten feature films (narrative and documentary). He makes and distributes his films in a variety of ways. Some of Mr. Grotell's films have been made as part of the 48 Hour Film Project in New York City or the 72 Hour Asian American Film Shootout (where he won a Best Director Award). His films have been purchased by Canal Plus for broadcast in Europe and the British Film Institute to tour the United Kingdom, they have been chosen for Closing Night of the Smithsonian Institution Native American Film Festival.
