The UAH Pathways Program is a joint admission program between UAH and Alabama community colleges, including Calhoun Community College, Northeast Alabama Community College, Wallace State Community College, and J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College.

The purpose of the program is to create an opportunity for students to be enrolled at their community college and UAH simultaneously in order to complete their associate’s degree and begin coursework at UAH at the same time. The ultimate goal is for students to have a smooth transition to UAH and be in sync with their program of study.

Program Benefits

  • Students will receive a UAH tuition scholarship.  This scholarship will result in students paying tuition for UAH courses equivalent to the tuition at their home community college for each three credit hour course.

  • Students will receive a UAH Charger Card allowing them to attend UAH events, participate in student organizations, and utilize campus resources, such as the Library and Student Success Center.

Program Requirements

  • Students must be currently enrolled at Calhoun Community College, Northeast Alabama Community College, Wallace State Community College, or J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College. High school students participating in dual enrollment programs at these institutions are not eligible to participate.

  • Students must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA in community college coursework.

  • Students may enroll in up to 12 hours of UAH coursework while participating in the Pathways Program.

Program Application Process

  • Complete the UAH Pathways Participation Form. You must complete this form for each term you wish to participate in the Pathways Program.

  • Follow these steps to create a Charger Status account and submit the online application for admission.  Pathways applicants should select the “Transfer” student type.

  • Submit an official transcript from your home community college. Your application will not be considered complete until your transcript has been received by the Office of Admissions.
