Issue Comments: Kaskanampo had not had a neckerchief for sale since 1969.
Meanwhile the lodge has issued the S6 which resembles the
scene in the original P1a neckerchief. Because of this, a
push was made in 1980 to issue a new neckerchief known as
the P3 (Ed Dravecky's original lodge issue history notes
this as the X2; however Jerry Rogers' "The History of the
OA in Alabama" lists it as the X3).
The design of the P3 was intended to be the same as the
P1a, but the patch was issued without the BSA's national
standards requirement for either the FDL or BSA lettering,
which was an oversight. This error reportedly upset some
members.
The P3 was available only at lodge functions.
The P3 was first worn at the first SE-3 Area Conclave
which added Yustaga #385 to the old SE-4A group, and
marked Yustaga's return to Region V.
