Welcome to the Kaskanampo Lodge #310 home page.

This web site serves as a comprehensive historical database of the Kaskanampo Lodge #310. Kaskanampo (pronounced Kas-ka-nam-poo) Lodge serves the Tennessee Valley Council in nine North Alabama counties through eight Chapters that comprise the area. A clickable map of the Tennessee Valley Council District Organization will be available sooner or later. This map not only displays the service areas, but lists relevant Chapter and District information as distributed by the Council office. Here you will find a bi-monthly District activities calendar, FOS reports and District and Area advisors, as well as Chapter officers and meeting place.

Kaskanampo Lodge is a strong supporter of Boy Scout Summer Camp also, and we have information on Summer Camp at Camp Comer at our Tennessee Valley Council web site.

Historical Information

1996 SR-8 Conclave - Kaskanampo Lodge #310 served as host of the 1996 Southern Region 8 Conclave at Camp Jackson. This was the first Conclave hosted by Kaskanampo Lodge since 1984. Despite intermittant rain on Saturday, the Conclave was deemed a huge success!

The totem of Kaskanampo Lodge is the freshwater mussel shell. The mussel was an important source of food for the local Native Americans. An online source of information about mussels in the Tennessee River Valley is available from the North Alabama Shell Club. Extensive information may also be found at Conchologists of America, Inc.
